Our Mission Statement

St. Martin of Tours parish as a community of the Christian faithful stably constituted in the church of St. Louis, whose pastoral care is entrusted to a parish priest as its proper pastor under the authority of the archbishop of St. Louis, serves as a territorial parish, in that it embraces all Christ's faithful in the territory of Lemay defined by the boundaries assigned to it, while welcoming any who, for various reasons, wish to affiliate with St. Martin's as their parish.

At St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, the word of God is proclaimed in its entirety to those living in the parish and the lay members of the Christian faithful are instructed in the truths of the faith, especially through the homily on Sundays and holy days of obligation and by catechetical instruction. Works are fostered, through which the spirit of the gospel is promoted. Particular care is given to the Catholic education of children and youth. Every effort is made, with the collaboration of the Christian faithful, so that the message of the gospel comes also to those who have ceased the practice of their religion or do not profess the true faith.

The Most Holy Eucharist is the center of our parish assembly of the faithful.

At St. Martin of Tours parish the Christian faithful are nourished through the devout celebration of the sacraments and, they are encouraged to frequently approach the sacraments of the Most Holy Eucharist and Penance. Here, all are led to practice prayer even as families and take part consciously and actively in the sacred liturgy.
