Dear St. Martin of Tours Parishioners and Friends ~

Thank you for the many, many recipes you have sent in over the past few weeks. In fact, you overwhelmed us. That’s a good thing, of course. They will all be set for purchase in time for Christmas.

I am very happy—no make that thrilled—with the job Deacon Kurt did running the parish during my “staycation.” He protected my decompression time, and I want to thank him publicly for all he did. I feel refreshed, rejuvenated, and refocused.

Also, Patti Stevens, our new administrative assistant, has in two week’s time mastered everything to run the front office. Not to mention, she is a pleasure to work with. (And she loves Dash, and Dash loves her—always a good sign!) More and more people are stopping by just to chat, and when they leave the rectory they leave with a smile. So, once again, we invite all of you to visit during office hours.

We are continuing our Bible Study on the Psalms. (We began the first day with almost 400 of you watching — incredible) — and even though now we have dropped to 75 or so, that’s still impressive! To prevent hacking problems, I have stopped using the ZOOM platform for Bible Study. However, the class will still be available through the SMT website live stream. (Classes remain on the site for a month until memory limits discard them.) Your feedback is most welcome.

Autumnal Blessings,
