Dear St. Martin of Tours Parishioners and Friends ~

Congratulations to George Mueller! Our longtime sacristan was instituted canonically as a Permanent Acolyte during a special Mass this past Wednesday evening at the Rigali Center Chapel. Bishop Mark Rivituso presided.

As soon as Archbishop Rozanski arrived I sent him a letter recommending George. The Archbishop immediately recognized George’s faithful service and granted the request.

This is a rather rare honor since the ministry of acolyte is almost always reserved for men on their way to the priesthood or permanent diaconate.

What this means is that George is therefore now an ordinary minister of the Holy Eucharist (as opposed to extraordinary) and he is grated particular status as minister of the Blessed Sacrament.

There are some more pictures of the ceremony in Dash’s Den.

God bless you all! Stay healthy and safe.
