Dear Parishioners,

My parish email account has been hacked once again. I have decided that I have had enough of this invasive hacking. I therefore permanently deleted my parish email account on 2/17/23. It is a pity it’s come to this, but that’s modern technology for you.

If you receive any email from someone claiming to be me, know with 100% certainty that it is not me.

As for contacting me, you may either contact Ms. Colleen Fanz, our parish Administrative Assistant or you may write me a letter.

Sincerely,

The Practice of Mental Prayer

1. Choose a quiet place where you can sit and focus without distractions.

2. Begin by reciting a prayer or making the sign of the cross to place yourself in the presence of God.

3. Choose a scripture passage, a spiritual book, or some meditation that you want to reflect on during your prayer. This will serve as your "focus" during the prayer.

4. Begin to reflect on the passage or meditation, using your imagination to enter into the scene and make it come alive in your mind. Visualize the details of the scene, the sounds, the smells, the emotions.

5. As you reflect, try to connect with God and ask Him to reveal Himself to you in this moment. Ask for His guidance and wisdom. Just speak to God from your heart with sincerity and trust.

6. Spend time listening to God, being open to any insights He may give.

7. End your prayer with a closing prayer, thanking the Holy Trinity, Jesus, and Mary for Their presence and love, trusting in Their continued guidance in your life.
