Dear St. Martin of Tours Family and Friends,

Today we celebrate the descent of the Holy Spirit, the Flame of God’s Love, into the hearts of the Apostles. This is the same Holy Spirit we received at our baptisms which made you and me a new creation: An adopted child of the Most Holy Trinity.

That same Spirit by which Jesus Christ was made incarnate; that same Spirit which raised Jesus from the dead – dwells within you.

Therefore, you have the power, if you so choose, to intercede for the salvation of souls of this world, and for the purification of the holy souls in Purgatory. As St. Paul wrote to the Colossians: “Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ's afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the Church” (Colossians 1:24).

How, then are we to save souls? Of course Scripture has the answer: Remain in the Love of Christ, who is the True Vine, and in Whom we are the branches:

“If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you” (John 15:7).

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you” (John 15:16).

However, the Church has also approved a very special devotion with a very special power to save. I am speaking of –

THE FLAME OF LOVE OF THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY.

“The grace from the Flame of Love of My Mother's Immaculate Heart will be to your generation what Noah's Ark was to his generation.”

This Church-approved devotion began with a very humble woman, Elizabeth Kindelmann, of Budapest, Hungary, who began to receive messages from Our Lady and Our Lord from 1961 until 1982. The messages are a continuation and Our Lady asks especially for:

1. Prayer—especially the daily Rosary
2. Fasting
3. Visits to the Blessed Sacrament
4. Family Holy Hours
5. Night Vigils – waking in the middle of the night to pray for souls

Moreover, just like at Fatima, Our Blessed Mother gave Elizabeth Kindelmann a prayer to add to the Rosary (in bold), which Jesus affirms in her messages as well:

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
spread the effect of grace of the Flame of Love over all of humanity,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy.

The Blessed Mother also revealed to Elizabeth that she gained from her Son “an outpouring of graces so great that they have not existed since the Word became Flesh. This is her Flame of Love bursting forth from her Immaculate Heart by which she will blind Satan. Yes – Render Satan BLIND so that our souls can turn to God. If you would like to begin this very powerful devotion, I ask that you pray during the upcoming week for strength and resolve.

Next week, I will include in the bulletin the weekly schedule of prayers revealed to Elizabeth, and also the truly amazing promises granted to those who practice this devotion.

Let me end with this note. As your pastor, I promise to follow this devotion from this day forward to the very best of my ability (according to the graces Our Lord will grant me through Our Lady). For whatever reason, I feel compelled to do this, out of concern for every one of you who are in this parish and who attend our Masses; and also out of concern for so many whom I love whose salvation I know to be in grave jeopardy – most especially my family, and also the many atheists I know from my college days – mostly good people (not all!), but blind to the Truth and therefore unaware of the many beautiful graces Jesus and Mary wish to offer them.

Brothers and Sister, let us save souls!

In Our Lady’s Flame of Love,
