Dear St. Martin of Tours Family –
This Pastor’s Pen includes two big requests

REQUEST #1: PRAYER CHAIN!

Prayer is powerful! But if no one knows that prayers are needed, then how can prayers be offered? So I – we – need one of you to start a prayer chain. I am very sad that we do not have this ministry in this parish. So we need someone who can compile two trees of communication – email and phone – someone who loves prayer and knows the power of prayer. Please call ME PERSONALLY if you think God is calling you for this ministry.

REQUEST #2: DONATE A STAR

I have applied for a grant from the Archdiocese to re-paint the interior of the church with its original colors, and also to acquire brighter lights. These 48” tall Star-Lights  that I found can remind us of the Blessed Virgin, the “Woman Crowned with Twelve Stars,” because our church will need 12 of them! Most important, they give off a lot of light.  Two lights have already been sponsored by generous parishioners. I am asking for 10 families to sponsor the 10 additional lights for the interior of the church.  Each light costs $1750.  Contact me personally to DONATE A STAR!
