Dear St. Martin of Tours Parishioners,

We are very pleased to announce the second winner of the annual Tim Haber, Jr. Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship, a one-time gift of $5,000 of tuition assistance for a graduating 8th grader who is to enter a Catholic High School, is meant to honor and perpetuate the memory of St. Martin of Tours parishioner and student Tim Haber, Jr. who, in his brief but good life, exemplified all the characteristics of a young Catholic gentleman and a man of faith.

We are pleased to announce that the 2019 recipient of the Tim Haber, Jr. Memorial Scholarship goes to St. Mark graduate Collin Maloney. Our selection of this one individual, out of a large field of truly outstanding candidates, was a very difficult decision to make. We chose Collin because he has demonstrated virtue and excellence in every area of his life.

Collin is by temperament a man of leadership and moral strength. His love of God, his witness and commitment to live his Catholic Faith seriously and without compromise, his academic and athletic excellence, and his example of service to his school and community, are indications of a man whose desire in life is to strive to give greater glory to God.

Collin will attend Christian Brothers College High School in the fall. It is the hope of our scholarship committee of St. Martin of Tours Parish, of Tim and Margaret Haber, and of myself personally, that Collin will continue to strive for excellence in all he does, that he will continue to demonstrate to others the charity of Christ, and that he will grow in love of Jesus Christ every day as he grows into adulthood.

We wish to thank so many of you who in the past have donated to the Tim Haber, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Endowment, or who have contributed directly to make this yearly award possible. We are blessed by your generosity.

Congratulations, Collin! We are very proud of you! Make us proud in the future. Strive to imitate Christ in all you do.

Sincerely,

Tim Haber, Jr. Memorial Scholarship Committee
