Dear Humans,

I have so much to be thankful for! I have a Daddy who loves me. I have many of you who love me. I have a Daddy who feeds me, plays with me, gives me belly rubs, and gives me treats. Many of you have also given me treats!

However, my brain (which is, as I mentioned previously, is the size and shape of a large lemon) is sending an alarm:

  1. Daddy is feeding me less food, and he is giving me fewer treats!
  2. It is getting colder - is Daddy making that happen?
  3. It is getting dark so soon - is Daddy making that happen too?

Daddy tells me that he and I are both a bit on the chunky side, and we both need to lose some weight. So my sadness is to result in something good. Daddy also tells m e that the cold and darkness are part of life, and it wil help me appreciate the sun and the wonderful heat of summer when it comes around again.

Does your Daddy - (God the Father) - treat you the same way? I know He says He brings happiness out of sadness, and we pay for our future with our present. But it sure is difficult!
