November:
The Month of the Holy Souls

The month begins with the feast of All Saints on 1 November, and the feast of All Souls on 2 November. We are encouraged to pray especially for our departed loved ones, and the Holy Souls in Purgatory, throughout the whole of the month of November.

A plenary indulgence can be obtained each day from 1 to 8 November for the Souls in Purgatory by visiting a cemetery and praying for the deceased.
