Dear St. Martin of Tours Family,

HAPPY ADVENT:
This Sunday, we begin a new Church year. This past year has been, by all objective measures, awful. None of us, one year ago, knew it would be so terrible. Hindsight is 20/20. So, good riddance to 2020.

But what if 2021 is worse than 2020? I pray it is not, but there are signs it very well could be.

Since next year may require special heavenly protection for us all, I have decided in my official capacity as Pastor to commend St. Martin of Tours Parish to the special protection of The Immaculate Heart of Mary for the Liturgical Year 2021.

At our Sunday Rosary and Adoration, we will be changing our litany from the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, to the Most Immaculate Heart of Our Lady. Stay tuned for other ways our parish will be honoring Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart in the new year to come.

CHRISTMAS MASSES:
In order to be certain to accommodate any and all who would like to attend Christmas this year, the Parish Council decided on November 19 that our parish offer these four Masses for Christmas:

Christmas Eve:
3:00 p.m.
4:30 p.m.
Midnight

Christmas Day:
10:00 a.m.

Overflow (if any) will be directed to Runge Hall where we will provide a large screen to watch the Mass, and also more importantly, we will send Eucharistic Ministers downstairs at Communion to distribute Holy Eucharist.

By adding an extra Mass and by opening Runge Hall, we will ensure that no person or family member will be turned away or denied participating as fully as possible in Christmas Mass at St. Martin of Tours!

~ May the Special Protection of Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart be upon all of you, today, and for the entire year ~
