 St. Martin of Tours Family,

It was great to take two weeks off!  I am moderately refreshed.

PARISH 80th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

Don’t forget to R.S.V.P. for our celebration dinner on Friday, November 15, 6:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. at Genesis. The celebration will be sponsored by the St. Martin of Tours Athletic Association.  The dinner is free, so space is limited. Call the rectory to R.S.V.P.

CALLING FOR NOMINATIONS FOR NEW PARISH COUNCIL MEMBERS.

I have received a few nominations for parish council, but am still in need of more. Keep those nominations coming!

ST MARTIN CHARIOTEERS

Thus far, only two people have come forward to volunteer to drive a shut-in parishioner to Mass. Are any others of you able? You would be performing a very great spiritual work of mercy if you did. Just something to consider.

PIPE ORGAN STATUS

I failed to obtain the grant I applied for to fix our organ. After commiserating with Bob Dial, who has been maintaining the organ for the past number of years, we have come up with “Plan B”: We should be able to nurse the workings of the instrument along just enough so that it will perform adequately and nothing disastrous will happen to it for the foreseeable future. The donations many of you have made to the fund to maintain and to fix the organ are kept safe in a restricted account which will be tapped into whenever there is need. I thank you for that.

God Bless you all,

Father Waldman Signature
